“PomMosa” CHAMPAGNE COCKTAIL

“PomMosa” CHAMPAGNE COCKTAIL

Rosé champagne and pomegranate juice make this quick and easy, two-ingredient cocktail into a perfectly balanced and delightfully festive drink for any occasion.
Prep Time: 2 MinTotal Time: 2 Min

Ingredients

Instructions

  1. Pour 1 ounce (2 tablespoons) of pomegranate juice per glass.
  2. Top with 4 to 5 ounces of rosé champagne. Pour each glass in stages so those precious bubbles don’t overflow.
  3. Serve as is, or drop in a couple of pomegranate arils in each glass as a garnish.

Notes

  1. We recommend using “brut” champagne so it’s not overly sweet. This cocktail is wonderful whether you use brut rosé champagne, brut champagne, or brut sparkling wine. Or, just use your favorite bubbles!
  2. Chill champagne flutes in the fridge for at least 15 minutes before you serve.
  3. You can use a jigger, measuring cup, or a measuring spoon to get more accurate measurements, if needed.

STEP 1b

Make sure your champagne flutes are chilled.

Note: If you like it less juicy, feel free to cut down the pomegranate juice to ½ ounce (or 1 tablespoon) per glass.

STEP 2

Top with 4 to 5 ounces of rosé champagne, making sure to pour each glass in stages so those precious bubbles don’t overflow.

a) Slowly pour champagne into each flute.

b) Stop when you are almost halfway.

c) Give the bubbles a chance to settle.

d) And top off, making sure not to overflow.

Note: This cocktail is wonderful, whether you use brut rosé champagne, brut champagne, or brut sparkling wine. Either way, we recommend using “brut,” so it’s not overly sweet. Or, you can always just use your favorite bubbles!

Blog Review

Quick and easy festive cocktail that serves 6!

There is almost nothing better than a chilled bottle of really good champagne. Although there are times when I want something a little different than straight champagne or sparkling wine.

A Mimosa or Bloody Mary seem to be the go to cocktails for brunch crowds. So, it was no surprise that we decided to have mimosas for Sunday brunch. We rifled through our refrigerator and found only a few drops of orange juice. Brunch was almost ready and it was time for us to get creative!

We came across a small bottle of pomegranate juice in our fridge and the idea came to us…Pomegranate Mimosas! We didn’t want to add another liquor to the cocktail, so we decided to keep it clean and simple. Miraculously a chilled bottle of rosé champagne appeared in the fridge and the PomMosa Champagne Cocktail was brought to life!

Rosé champagne turns this cocktail into a brilliant ruby red color, as well as adds a little “je ne sais quoi to this drink!”

A festive cocktail doesn’t get any easier. Two ingredients that result in a perfectly balanced cocktail that is enjoyable anytime.

Let us know what you think about this delicious cocktail. Santé!

Mich

Footnote: We recommend a brut champagne for this cocktail, but i you don’t have any rosé champagne on hand, just use your favorite sparkling wine or champagne.
